The music on it's own makes me smile and I just think it's good for when you or I need cheering up. I hope you enjoyed this randomly short intermission. We will now return you to your scheduled programme.

Nintendo Wii
What a stupid name for a console. It was revealed on the 27th of April that the new Nintendo console will be named "Wii", pronounced 'we'. I certainly prefered the code name "Revolution". It just sounds cooler. Just imagine you're gonna buy one and you say to your mates; "As soon as I've saved up enough cash I'm gonna get me a Revolution". Sounds good right? Now try it this way; "As soon as I've saved up enough cash I'm gonna get me a Wii" Not cool. Your mates would just laugh.
According to Nintendo it was named Wii for the following reasons;
Wii sounds like "we," which emphasises this console is for everyone.
Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.
Wii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play.
I currently own a Nintendo Gamecube and I really like it but I very much doubt that I shall be buying a Wii. The controller is just too weird for my liking. If you haven't seen it yet it looks like a TV remote and you only use one hand. Apparently you wave it at the screen to move in games rather like a light gun. I'd feel like an idiot waving a "remote" at the TV.
Ho hum, I shall wait until I can test it in store to see what I think.
